Skippper Southam only joined Barnet last summer after leaving Histon
New Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez has released six players, including captain Glen Southam and goalkeeper Jake Cole.
Rossi Jarvis, Charlie Stimson, Danny Kelly and Reece Yorke have also been let go.
The Bees have offered new contracts to Joe Devera, Mark Hughes, Steve Kabba and Mauro Vilhete.
Sanchez took over as manager on 13 May, external after helping the club avoid relegation to non-league football in his role as consultant, external at the end of the season.
