Luke Littler, speaking to Sky Sports after a 4-0 win against Mensur Suljovic:

"I'm really happy with it. The finishing was good - 71%, I don't think I've seen that in my PDC career.

"I felt so settled tonight. Mensur at his pace, I kind of got myself into a rhythm that matches it - slower than usual but it worked out.

"That's the best I've felt [at the World Championship], I think even last year's tournament and the one before that. That's the most I've been settled and it shows with the average, the finishing and the ton-plus checkouts."

    Littler 4-0 Suljovic

The strangest thing about that match? Mensur Suljovic played well.

He threw five maximums and averaged 96.21. He had 26 100-plus visits, ten more than Littler.

But that was only worth three legs total against a champion in awesome form.

    Breaking

    Littler 4-0 Suljovic (3-1)

T17, but then D15 missed. Littler then lands in T3 - so he needs the bottom double to win.

And he wraps it up. Superb.

    Littler 3-0 Suljovic (2-1)

This is the showpiece match of Saturday night, and Luke Littler is using it as a chance to show off.

Luke Littler is still averaging over 109, which would be the best match average of the tournament so far.

That is the first time Suljovic has held throw all match.

Great start by Suljovic, 135. He couldn't, could he? The crowd are now fully on his side, singing his name.

Littler puts a stop to all that with 180, and yells in delight.

The Englishman needs 124, and produces it perfectly.

    Suljovic is stunned.

  17. Postpublished at 23:04 GMT 27 December 2025

    Littler 2-0 Suljovic (2-2)

180 Littler, then 180 Suljovic. Both men on nines!

Suljovic adds a fourth T20, but then misses and throws his hands to the sky.

If nothing else, the Austrian is a big character.

And he does get to a 41 finish - nailed with D16.

If Suljovic holds here, he wins the set!

    Littler 2-0 Suljovic (2-1)

Luke Littler looks frustrated as he only lands 140 with his first visit of the leg. He follows it with 180.

No-one has thrown a nine-darter yet in the 2026 Worlds, and you know Littler would love to be the first.

For now, he settles for breaking Suljovic again with a 64 finish.

  19. Postpublished at 23:00 GMT 27 December 2025

    Littler 2-0 Suljovic (1-1)

Suljovic raises his arms as he bags a 180. That's eight in the match between the two men.

Littler however is on his favourite 170 finish - this time the Big Fish eludes him.

And then Littler fails to land 65! Suljovic with a big chance to break here.

He has three darts at tops - and lands the second.

Suljovic is off the mark, and deservedly so.
