A new dartboard is used for every match at the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship.

In total, 127 different boards will be used during matches at the Alexandra Palace extravaganza. There are also nine practice boards in use for players ahead of matches, as well as further boards for promotional use.

The Blade 6 model of dartboard made by manufacturers Winmau is used for each match, with a new board set up in the break between each match by the PDC's staging crew.

Should an issue occur involving the board during a match, the referee can request that the board is changed - but this is a rare occurance.

What happens to boards when they are changed?

The PDC has a few uses for boards that have been removed from the Ally Pally stage.

Some are auctioned off for charity, with the proceeds going to Prostate Cancer UK.

Other boards will be signed by players and given to the tournament's sponsors.

The remaining boards are reused as either practice boards or used in non-televised events such as the Players Championship, Challenge Tour, Development Tour and Women's Series.
