West Indies are building a nice partnership here. If they can really put some impetus on in the last few overs, they can put a decent total on.

We know these players can score a decent amount of runs.

  3. WI 118-7published at 15 overs

It's not been a good day for Keshav Maharaj. He finishes with 0-43 from his four overs.

Five overs to go. West Indies are 118-7, with Romario Shepherd on 21 (17) and Jason Holder on 24 (21). They've put on 35 for the eighth wicket.

South Africa would tear England to shreds on current form. We do have players that like short balls and South Africa have a reputation for crashing and burning when it really matters. We need to use experience and build a strong partnership, whoever we play.

Two boundaries in the over for West Indies, a six for Romario Shepherd and a guided four behind point for Jason Holder.

Holder chips the final ball of the over towards Keshav Maharaj at cover but it drops just short of the fielder. Lungi Ngidi is furious that Maharaj didn't put in a dive.

    12 runs from the over.

Shepherd and Holder have put on 26 for the eighth wicket. Only Shai Hope and Brandon King (29 off 14 for the first wicket) have built a bigger partnership.

Well bowled from Lungi Ngidi. He went to that slower ball he has and went quite wide.

It just shows the power Romario Shepherd has - he didn't even hit that totally cleanly.

Reminder to Ian. The last time England played South Africa, they scored over 300 in a T20.

RE: Ian at 10:24 South Africa in the semi-finals is historically exactly where they start 'tripping up' after being dominant early in the competition.

Jason Holder hits West Indies' first boundary for 19 balls, a big edge going just out of each of a flying fielder at point.

It ruins what had otherwise been a tidy over from spinner Keshav Maharaj.

    Seven from the over.

Kagiso Rabada has had a quiet World Cup and has been under pressure. You always need to peak at the right time in these tournaments and that is what he has done.

  12. WI 90-7published at 12 overs

Kagiso Rabada, with 2-7 from his first two overs, returns to the attack.

Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd exchange four singles.

The first three are jogged. Holder sprints through off the final ball of the over but South Africa's fielders converge on the ball to deny him a second.

  13. WI 86-7published at 11 overs

Four runs and a wicket from the 11th over. West Indies are in all sorts of trouble on 86-7.

West Indies can bat deep, they have so much power. Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd are capable of getting 50 off 25 balls.

They need to get something going here.

  15. WI 83-7published at 10.4 overs

Romario Shepherd tries to duck under one and the ball ricochets off his shoulder and onto his helmet.

That was almost catching practice for Ryan Rickelton.

It has been noticeable to see how South Africa's seamers have bowled short. They have really banged the ball in and used the dimensions of the ground.

This is fascinating stuff. You would think there would be some consolidating from West Indies but that has not been the case.

    Exciting stuff to watch.
