Glamorgan have appointed World Cup-winning former Australia all-rounder Ian Harvey as an assistant coach.

Harvey joins on a full-time basis having worked with the men's first team during the 2025 season.

The 53-year-old played 73 one-day internationals for Australia, helping them win the 2003 World Cup.

He had previously worked under Glamorgan head coach Richard Dawson at Gloucestershire.

Alongside his new role at Glamorgan, Harvey is Nepal's head coach and will lead them at the T20 World Cup, which starts in India in February.

"It is a really exciting time for the club and to be part of that journey over the next few years is something I'm really looking forward to," said Harvey.

"Having spent time around the squad last season and working with Richard Dawson and David Harrison, I knew that if I did have the opportunity to be part of the coaching staff moving forward, it was always going to be an easy decision for me to make."

Dawson said: "It's great that Ian has committed to the club.

"He brings loads of experience across all formats and across all skillsets in the game and is a great addition to the changing room and the coaching staff."
