Warwickshire seamer Ethan Bamber has signed a new three-year deal with the 2026 County Champions.

Bamber, 27, took 69 wickets - the most in Division One - in helping the Bears storm to their ninth title with a superb late run that brought five wins in their last six matches, helping them finish 20 points clear of Somerset at the top.

In that period, Bamber took 32 wickets at an average of just 12.71 and picked up three of his season's four five-wicket hauls.

That followed an impressive debut season at Edgbaston the previous summer, when he took 43 wickets having joined the Bears from Middlesex.

"It is very unusual to be in a professional environment where you feel so at home," Bamber said, external.

"I have found that here at Warwickshire and I am delighted to be able to commit my future to this wonderful club and to this incredibly special group of players."

Bamber added 2026 has been a "very special year" and said there is "much more we can achieve together".

Bamber's outstanding two years with Warwickshire have brought him 112 wickets at 24.65 runs each, with five five-wicket hauls and a best of 6-22 in a vital win at Essex in the penultimate game of the season.

His time at Edgbaston has also seen him make his maiden first-class century - again against Essex - in 2025.

"Ethan's deserved every success he's had this year and we're delighted to agree a new deal with him," Bears head coach Ian Westwood said.

"He works so hard, he's the most diligent professional I've ever seen and worked with. He does everything he can to get every ounce of ability he's got out into the park in a Bears shirt."
