Kent seam bowler Fred Klaassen has signed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 33-year-old joined Kent in 2018 and has gone on to take 76 wickets in 69 T20 appearances.

A one-day specialist, Klaassen's contract has been described by the club as having a "white-ball focus".

Netherlands international Klaassen was a member of the Kent team which won the Men's Vitality Blast in 2021.

The following year, he turned out for Manchester Originals in The Hundred.

"I've now been a Kent player for seven years and I'm very proud to commit my future for a further two seasons," Klaassen told Kent's website., external

Kent director of cricket Simon Cook added: "Fred is a big part of our white-ball bowling attack and we hope that our younger players can learn a lot from him going forward."
