Robert Paxton says he is "over the moon" after winning the men's singles at the World Indoor Bowls Championships.

The 47-year-old from Devon beat Scotland's Paul Foster in a tense final as he won a tie-break 2-1.

Paxton drew the opening set 11-11 before tying the second 8-8 at the Potters Resort in Norfolk.

It was his second singles title, having first won the event in 2020, and comes after he lost the 2025 final to Scot Jason Banks.

"It was what I probably call a school fight. It wasn't entertaining but good to the end," Paxton said after his win.

"We both had good stuff, bad stuff through the game - but to get the line, I'm over the moon."
