Wednesday

Arsenal v Brentford (19:30 GMT)

Arsenal will assess the fitness of William Saliba and Leandro Trossard, who both missed Sunday's draw against Chelsea with minor injuries.

Manager Mikel Arteta said on Tuesday that both players were "a matter of days" from being available and didn't rule out their involvement against Brentford.

Kai Havertz faces several more weeks on the sidelines with a knee problem.

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews didn't report any fresh injury concerns in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, but did say the squad had a couple of "knocks and bruises" after the game against Burnley at the weekend.

  • Arsenal's Mikel Merino (£5.9m) has produced an attacking return in each of the last three gameweeks, with a goal and two assists.

  • Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) of Arsenal registered an assist against Chelsea in gameweek 13, having created 14 chances in his last six matches.

  • Brentford's Dango Ouattara (£6.0m) has been presented with eight big chances this season, the joint-most of any midfielder except Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6m).

Brighton v Aston Villa (19:30 GMT)

Brighton will assess forward Georginio Rutter, who was substituted against Nottingham Forest on Sunday after a blow to the head.

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: "It was not a concussion but, of course, you have to follow the procedure because we have to take care of the player's health."

Aston Villa midfielder Ross Barkley has been ruled out for over two months after being forced off with a knee injury against Wolves at the weekend.

Defender Tyrone Mings is the only other absentee for Villa. Head coach Unai Emery confirmed he expects him to be out for four more weeks.

Players out: Brighton - March, Milner, Mitoma, Webster Aston Villa - Barkley, Mings

Doubt: Brighton - Rutter

Key FPL notes:

  • Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers (£6.9m) produced a 10-point haul in the corresponding fixture last season.

  • Matty Cash (£4.6m) is Villa's top-scoring player in Fantasy. The ever-present right-back has scored twice and earned five bonus points on top of his five clean sheets.

Burnley v Crystal Palace (19:30 GMT)

Burnley have no fresh injury concerns going into Wednesday's game.

Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr will miss out after suffering an ankle ligament injury during the defeat by Manchester United. Manager Oliver Glasner said further assessments will be done to see if Sarr can return before the Africa Cup of Nations.

Wolves v Nottingham Forest (19:30 GMT)

Wolves head coach Rob Edwards doesn't think Ladislav Krejci will be ready for Wednesday's game.

However, Edwards added Matt Doherty "might be in a position where he can be involved in the squad".

Nottingham Forest head coach Sean Dyche is hopeful that key players Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White will recover in time to face Wolves.

Gibbs-White was substituted late on against Brighton on Sunday because of a back issue, while Murillo was left out of that game as a result of hamstring tightness and has also been ill.

Players out: Wolves - Bentley, Chiwome, Rodrigo Gomes, Krejci Nottingham Forest - Aina, Awoniyi, Bakwa, Gunn, Douglas Luiz, Wood, Zinchenko

Doubts: Wolves - Doherty Nottingham Forest - Gibbs-White, Murillo

However, Dan James could miss at least two months with a hamstring injury.

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo begins a three-match ban, with Andrey Santos among the options to replace him.

Fit-again playmaker Cole Palmer could make his first appearance since 20 September but head coach Enzo Maresca said giving Reece James a third start in eight days "is complicated" because of the player's injury history.

Players out: Leeds - Bornauw, James, Longstaff Chelsea - Caicedo, Colwill, Essugo, Lavia

Liverpool v Sunderland (20:15 GMT)

Liverpool forward Alexander Isak had to come off with cramp against West Ham on Sunday and head coach Arne Slot says the Swede will be assessed, along with Florian Wirtz and Joe Gomez.

"I think they are not able to play three 90 minutes in a week, that's for sure," said Slot. "I will have to see how they feel today and if they are ready to start again."

Conor Bradley could be fit to face Leeds this weekend, while fellow right-back Jeremie Frimpong is a week further away from a return.

Slot confirmed that Mo Salah, who was left out of the starting line-up at the weekend for the first time in the Premier League this season, is due to join up with Egypt on 15 December for the Africa Cup of Nations.

  • Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) of Liverpool has registered 137 defensive contributions this season, a total only Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi (£5.0m) and Crystal Palace's Maxence Lacroix (£5.1m) can beat among defenders.

  • Midfielder Granit Xhaka's (£5.2m) 18 chances created and 148 defensive contributions are both top among Sunderland players this season.

Thursday

Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has recovered from the injury that ruled him out of the team's previous two games.

Head coach Ruben Amorim said two unnamed players were fitness doubts to face West Ham, adding in Wednesday's press conference: "I will not tell you today because we will change the way we are going to approach [the game]. Let's see if they can play tomorrow."

West Ham's Crysencio Summerville "still has some issues", according to head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, and Thursday's match will likely come too soon for him.
