Patrick McBride has decided to step away from the Antrim senior football panel after just two rounds of the new Allianz Football League campaign.
An ever present since making his inter-county debut in 2012, McBride was a second-half substitute in Antrim's Division Four league defeat to Tipperary on Sunday.
One of the Saffrons' most high profile and experienced players, the 32-year-old St John's clubman had committed to the senior football panel for a 15th consecutive year and has yet to publicly comment on his decision to quit the county squad.
Antrim sit bottom of Division Four having lost their opening two league games.
They went down 2-16 to 1-15 to Carlow in their opener, before losing 1-13 to 1-9 to Tipp in their second outing of the new campaign.
Mark Doran's side will host Longford in their next match on 15 February.
