Sunday's late game saw Matthew Stafford throw three touchdown passes as the Los Angeles Rams thrashed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move top of the National Football Conference (NFC).

Stafford completed 25 of 35 passes for 273 yards as the Rams won 34-7 for their sixth successive victory. The hosts led 31-7 at half-time with Davante Adams, who leads the league for touchdown receptions, claimed another two to take his tally for the season to 12.

The Rams now have a 9-2 record while a third straight defeat for the Bucs saw them slip to 6-5, while they also lost quarterback Baker Mayfield to a shoulder injury late in the first half.

Chiefs avoid third straight loss to in-form Indy

The Kansas City Chiefs have reached five of the six past Super Bowls, winning three, but defeat to this season's surprise package Indianapolis would have left them in danger of missing out on this season's play-offs altogether.

The Chiefs went into the game with a 5-5 record and have not had a losing record after 12 weeks since 2012. They trailed 20-9 in the final quarter but Patrick Mahomes led them to a fightback, with Harrison Butker's last-gasp field goal sending the game into overtime.

After the Colts went three-and-out, Butker then kicked his fifth field goal of the game to clinch a 23-20 win and avoid a third straight defeat, leaving the Chiefs third in the AFC West behind the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers.

Cowboys match biggest fightback in franchise history

Defending champions Philadelphia became the new Super Bowl favourites last week and showed why as they romped into a 21-0 lead in the second quarter at Dallas.

But the Cowboys fought back to level the game in the fourth quarter before the Eagles fumbled on back-to-back possessions. Dallas turned down the chance to kick a field goal and failed to score a touchdown, giving the Eagles a chance to win it, but the hosts' defence earned a stop, allowing Brandon Aubrey to seal a 24-21 win with a field goal as time expired.

Sanders leads Browns to victory on first NFL start

Shedeur Sanders made a much-anticipated first start in the NFL and led the Cleveland Browns to a 24-10 win at the Las Vegas Raiders.

The rookie quarterback, who made a dramatic draft slide to the fifth round, had a difficult debut last week after coming on for the injured Dillon Gabriel.

But his first start was far more positive as he finished with 209 passing yards and one touchdown, along with an interception. There were a couple of big-play highlights, such as a brilliant 52-yard bomb to Isaiah Bond on the run to set up the Browns' first touchdown, before Cleveland claimed just their third win of the season.

    Patriots claim ninth straight win

The New England Patriots earned a hard-fought 26-20 win at the Cincinnati Bengals for their ninth victory in a row. That also saw the Patriots become the first team to reach 10 wins this season and put them three wins clear of the Buffalo Bills at the top of the AFC East after the former Super Bowl favourites lost at Houston on Thursday.

Bears remain top of NFC North

The Chicago Bears have won eight of their past nine games after coming from behind to hang on for a 31-28 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were without injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

    Lions beat Giants in overtime

The Detroit Lions needed overtime to win 34-27 and avoid being upset at home by the two-win New York Giants. The Lions have not suffered back-to-back defeats in three years and fought back from 27-17 down in the final quarter, with a Jake Bates field goal levelling it up.

Jahmyr Gibbs had a total of 264 yards and scored his third touchdown on the first play of overtime. That 69-yard run proved decisive, helping keep Detroit right behind Chicago and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North, with the Lions' divisional rivals both winning on Sunday.

    Resurgent Ravens edge above Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens beat the New York Jets 23-10 to claim their fifth straight win and edge above Pittsburgh on a tie-breaker at the top of the AFC North.

    Jags beat Cardinals in overtime

The late slate provided the third game of the day to go to overtime. The lead changed hands four times in Arizona before the Cardinals kicked a last-gasp field goal to level things up at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jags then edged in front with a field goal and halted the hosts on the next possession to clinch a 27-24 win and improve to 7-4, moving within one win of Indianapolis in the AFC South.

The Dallas Cowboys matched their biggest comeback in franchise history by coming from 21 points down to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 on Sunday night.

The Eagles dominated the first half in Dallas and raced into a 21 point lead before George Pickens chipped into the deficit just before the break.

Brian Schottenheimer's side were then able to shut out the Eagles in the second half and put up 14 unanswered points before Brandon Aubrey kicked home a walk-off field goal to win the game and close out an all-time classic.

On a night of records, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott also surpassed Tony Romo as the franchise leader in passing yards.

Dallas move to 5-5-1 on the season while Philadelphia drop to 8-3.

The Cowboys' defence has been the butt of plenty of jokes this season but they stood up. There were two forced fumbles, they recovered those fumbles as well. It was a combined team effort.

My goodness, what have we experienced. That's why we love the NFL. What a game.

Dak Prescott fires a dart to George Pickens and he's brought down by the Eagles defence but not until he gets inside the 25.

The Cowboys are in field goal range with a chance to win this one with 35 seconds remaining.

We've got an injury timeout on the field.

    I needed this break.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Dak Prescott finds him and now he fumbles the ball. It bobbles kindly for Dallas though and goes straight out of bounds.

I am running out of superlatives for this game.

  12. 'Not settling for field goal massive error by Cowboys coach'published at 00:36 GMT 24 November 2025

You've scored 21 unanswered points and your defence is balling, so kick the field goal, get a three-point lead then trust your defence.

And also, there's still a bit of time so if your defence holds the Eagles to a field goal, you've still got time to go down the field and potentially win the game.

Now we're at the two-minute warning and if the Eagles can control the clock, they have the opportunity to win the game. I think that's a massive error from the Cowboys' rookie head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

Kirk Cousins led the Atlanta Falcons to their first victory in six with a 24-10 win over the New Orleans Saints.

The veteran quarterback threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns on his return to the starting line-up.

He brought an air of calm to the Falcons after a five game losing streak.

The Falcons move to 4-7 on the season while the Saints drop to 2-9.

  14. FT: Jags hang on!published at 00:32 GMT 24 November 2025

    Jacksonville Jaguars 27-24 Arizona Cardinals

The Jags defence stand firm in overtime as Arizona go for broke on fourth down with Jacoby Brissett launching a deep pass instead of the team attempting what would be about a 60-yard field goal to tie it up.

The ball drops incomplete so the Jags take the win back to Florida with them, along with now a 7-4 record that currently has them sitting in a play-off place as a wildcard.

What a stand from the Eagles.

Four attempts from inside the 10 and the Cowboys cannot get in the endzone.

They go for it on fourth down, Dak Prescott looks for his tight end Jake Ferguson but it's incomplete.

    Incredibly, we are still tied.

That's it! The Browns defence and Myles Garrett do what they do and with a little help from Shedeur Sanders in conjuring up some offence Cleveland get a third win of the season.

Sanders finished with 209 yards passing, one touchdown, one interception and one sack in a decent enough first NFL start - with a couple of big-play highlights most notably a brilliant 52-yard bomb to Isaiah Bond on the run to set-up their first touchdown.

It's also a nice slice of history for Sanders, who is the first Browns quarterback to win on his first NFL start since Eric Zeier in 1995. 17 quarterbacks have tried since then but Sanders is the first to succeed.

Will he keep his job for next week?
