Wakefield sign Widnes prop Ben Kavanagh on loan

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have signed Widnes prop Ben Kavanagh on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old, who started his career at Wigan, has made six appearances for the Vikings this season.

Wakefield coach James Webster told the club website:, external "Ben will add some size and speed to an area we have been short in over the past six weeks."

The Wildcats are bottom of Super League with just two wins and entertain Halifax in the Challenge Cup on Friday.
