Tom Richards: Fulham left-back signs for Aldershot on loan

Fulham left-back Tom Richards has joined Conference side Aldershot Town on a youth loan deal until 20 March.

The Guildford-born 20-year-old is a regular in the Under-21 side at his parent club and has previously had a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon.

Richards has been named on the bench for Saturday's league game against Alfreton Town.

"He can play at left-back, left-midfield or even on the right-wing," said caretaker manager Chris Barker.

"He was one of the names that I had on my list from day one. We've seen him play several times and, in coming from a massive, ex-Premier League club, he'll be good on and off the field."
