Jason Pearce: Leeds United defender set for Wigan move

Leeds United defender Jason Pearce is set to join Championship strugglers Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

BBC Radio Leeds understands the 27-year-old is close to agreeing personal terms with the Latics.

Pearce has made 23 appearances for the Elland Road side this season.

Malky Mackay's side, who have sold Ben Watson, Shaun Maloney, Callum McManaman and Adam Forshaw this month, are currently eight points from safety in the Championship.
