The upstairs room is the premier Rock music Venue in barnsley (P.S. the upstairs room in the Assembly has been re-named "The Venue") apart from "The Room" its the home of the Barnsley Rock group and offers live bands on fridays and cheap drinks on wednesdays...It Rocks!

There is nothing wrong with the Assembly. It offers a great night out without breaking the bank. They do have one big advantage over nightclubs, you can pop outside for some fresh air at anytime instead of being restricted by the rules of a club. Not to mention the tables with its own tv and the rock venue in the upstairs room.

Full of low lifes, nothing better to do than drink cheap gut rot drinks. That's why they like this place, it's an absolute dive you have to get wrecked so you don't remember going there the next day!!!
