Menu: Steak, Minted Lamb Shank (8.95), Peppered and Lemon Peppered Chicken (7.95), Salmon Fishcakes (7.95), Lasagne, Tuna Pasta Bake, Cheese and Broccoli Bake, all pastas (5.65) Chilli Con Carne (Rice/Bread), Greek Salad and Nicoise Salad (4.85) Hand Cut Chips, and our own home made Pizzas £5.65. Starters £3.65, Sweets £2.00. The pizzas have a nice thin and crispy base with lots of topping. What did you drink? Budvar is the most popular drink What's the crowd like? Educated, casual, romantic And the vibe? This is a Bistro with a continental flavour. Open from 5.00 p.m. til Midnight. Only jazz played, with live jazz each Sunday, Monday & Wednesday. It has exactly the same decor as before; the old movie photographs that have always adorned its walls. Anything else you'd like to say? I do have an interest in Casablanca's, but so do many people who now think it no longer exists. It has become one of Sheffield's institutions but it had to move to new premises from Devonshire Street, and not all its fans know this. It's present size and function is more that of the restaurant side at its previous location. However, eventually we will be developing the Grade II listed building next door, so that it is once again a Wine Bar and Bistro. We need your support to get it to that stage. The food is the same as always and so is the music and the atmosphere. Value for money? Very good value for money, the average price being £5.65
martin This place has closed and is now called Regent Terrace Roy (Manager of Casablanca) As of Friday 24/10/03 I very much regret to say that this Bar is now under new ownership. In all probability the menu, the atmosphere (Jazz etc.) will cease to exist in its present, and well known and loved format. Roy and his loyal team send a big thankyou to all you wonderful and faithful customers who have made our Bar such a fabulous success over the past 20 years or so. Thankyou to all. Angela Being new to Sheffield,as I've come here to study a degree I did not know much about places around the Uni to eat in. I discovered Casablanca by chance while happening to walking along Regents Terrace. I decided to go there that evening with friends to see what it was like. It is one of the most charming places I have been in to eat. I love the music, the atmosphere the staff and the food. It was a really relaxing evening after a stressful day at Uni. Thoroughly recommend it.
