| | | Craig David on the spot |
| | Along with viewers to BBC South Today, BBCi Southampton users got the chance to pose questions to Craig during his visit to Southampton on October 6th.
|
 | | | We chose the best six to put to the man himself during his appearance at St Mary's Stadium. We got none other than Saints striker James Beattie to ask the questions. Here are Craig's Q and A's...
James Beattie and Craig David(56k)
Jo Duncan from Worthing. Who was your role model whilst growing up and how did they inspire you? Michael Jackson was definitely a major influence as I was growing up. I'm not into wearing pyjamas and climbing up trees just yet, but that could be another stage in my career later!

Graham Wilkins, Southampton. You look faintly like David Blaine (no offence!) Would you stay in a box for 44 days? It depends who is in the box with me!
From Amy Barber, Isle of Wight. Would you swap places with Southampton striker James Beattie? D'you know what, I'd love to swap for one day. A Saturday afternoon here at St Mary's packed to capacity, Southampton against Portsmouth. I'd like to do something up front - I don't know what. And then I'd like to swap - and make James to go on stage and perform in front of thousands of people - that'd be quite interesting!
From Philippa Corfield, Fleet. If you could relive one day, which one would it be? I was at the Notting Hill Carnival when Rewind had just been released but no-one knew who I was cos I wasn't in the video. So these girls were playing the track and singing: "Craig David all over your..." and I'm thinking: "You're looking so hot and you're singing my name...", so I didn't get the girl in the end!
Kelly Carter, Southampton. Do you still keep in touch with friends and family from Southampton? My mother and father and friends are still here so I try my best to stay in touch but some of them don't understand that I'm the same guy who used to kick a football down the park and go to the pub. It's difficult, but I try to.
Jessica Smith, Salisbury. If you hadn't made it in the music industry, what other career path would you have taken? I'd definitely replace James Beattie for Southampton but if that hadn't come off, I'd have taken up DJing and concentrated on my wheels of steel.
