| | The penultimate leg of Craig David's UK tour was a packed show at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Craig fan, Matt Watts from Southampton was there and e-mailed us his review ... |
 | | | As the crowd slowly filtered into the Windsor Hall section of the Bournemouth International Centre, Craig David was about to meet the closest people to his home fans for a long time.
Although chants of "We want Craig" echoed from the standing area, special guest Michelle Lawson got the ball rolling. She offered a selection of five hits, including her single, I Just Wanna Say, which hits the shops on October 13.
After the interval, the tension rose for Craig's appearance.
As his voice slowly flowed from behind the curtain, the anticipation reached fever pitch.
The curtain dropped, out came Craig from the side of the stage, bursting into a rendition of his second album's title track, Slicker than your Average.
As he worked his way through massive hits '7 Days', 'Time to Party' and 'Hidden Agenda', it is hard to believe how every song he has released has not reached the number one spot.
In between songs, the Southampton man would relive some of his favourite times from his childhood and teenage years and got the Bournemouth crowd buzzing as he described his years of working the DJ circuit in the local clubs.
Every tune he chose to play sounded great and Walking Away, Fill Me In and, more recently, What's Your Flava brought back fond memories for his many admirers.
Rise and Fall was performed solo, but sounded just as great as the original with Sting. As Craig informed the fans of his upset and hurt of the September 11 tragedy, he led into his latest hit, World Filled With Love which touched many in the audience.
It was so amazing to see such a great talent emerge from the South Coast and he deserves all the success in the world - his talent is unbelievable.
The night was rounded of as Craig gave an acoustic version of Rendezvous and went back to his Artful Dodger days with the hit Re-Wind. It was a great occasion and there can only be bigger things on the way for the Southern idol.
