COP 28 climate negotiations continue after backlash

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Climate negotiators at the COP 28 summit in Dubai are continuing to debate a draft agreement, after the one released on Monday failed to mention the phasing out of fossil fuels. China's President Xi Jinping has been meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi. He's aiming to bolster ties with the country as the US seeks to deepen its relationship with one of the largest economies in Asia. Taiwan's birth rate has fallen to one of the lowest levels in the world. Increasingly, it seems pets are taking the place of children. Our reporter Ed Butler has been finding out more at a cat shelter in Taipei.
