We examine how much money is actually needed to run a Presidential campaign. One of the world’s largest advertising agencies estimates nearly 16 billion dollars will be spent on this year’s campaign. In Africa, Cameroon has started a Malaria programme which it hopes will save thousands of children’s lives across the continent. Canada has announced a two-year cap on international student permits. It is also stopping work permits to some postgraduate students to try and prevent an increased demand for housing.
