Australian film director Baz Luhrmann, whose first three films – Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge – are known as The Red Curtain Trilogy, has moved on to Blue Suede Shoes. He talks to Nikki Bedi about the making of his multiple Oscar-nominated movie, “Elvis”. And the programme features an interview with Indian-American filmmaker Smriti Mundhra who has just made a four-part series for Netflix about the world of Indian cinema. It’s called “The Romantics” and features a stellar line-up of the biggest Hindi film stars telling stories and sharing insights through the prism of the legendary filmmaking Chopra family.
