He’s now a pioneering veterinary surgeon who has become famous for fitting bionic limbs on injured pets. He tells Jo Fidgen how an operation on a tortoise almost cost him his life's passion. Gilberto ‘Chito’ Shedden is a fisherman from Costa Rica. Years ago he befriended a wild crocodile called Pocho, and the unlikely relationship made international news.
