BBC Russian's Sergey Kozlovsky travelled to Omsk to meet protesters. Thailand cave rescue During the rescue operation to save the 12 Thai schoolboys and their football coach, a huge community sprang up outside the Tham Luang cave - rescue workers, volunteers and of course the world's media. Watchiranont Thongep of BBC Thai spoke to some of them. Hand signs of Johannesburg In Johannesburg and its townships, people use a system of hand signs to hail a taxi and tell the driver where they want to go. The system exists with local variations throughout the country. Our guide in Johannesburg is Milton Nkosi of BBC Africa. Hometown: Viña del Mar In this episode of My Hometown, where we ask colleagues on the Fifth Floor to take us to the place where they grew up, BBC Mundo's Constanza Hola takes us to Viña del Mar on the Chilean coast. We taste pink clams and ice-cream, and spend hours on the beach. Uzbek police scandal Uzbeks have been shocked by revelations about a police officer who ordered a woman detained on suspicion of theft to strip naked - and filmed her on his phone. The BBC's Rustam Qobil tells us the scandal has prompted demands for police reform. Taiwan euthanasia Earlier this year, Taiwanese sports anchor Frank Fu travelled to Switzerland to end his life at Dignitas, an organisation that helps with assisted suicide. His efforts to change the law sparked a huge debate in Taiwan, as we hear from Tzu-wei Liu from BBC Chinese, who followed Frank's story. Afghan TV A year ago, Afghanistan welcomed its first majority-female station, Zan TV. Nearly all of the 50 employees are women, covering a range of issues from a female perspective, from Taliban fighting to Afghan pop culture. Sana Safi of Pashto TV tells us more.
