Wolfgang Tillmans is an award-winning photographer and visual artist. In 2017, he completed two career defining exhibitions - The Tate Modern, London and Foundation Beyeler, Basel. We join him in his Berlin studio as he attempts to keep up the momentum, with the final preparations for his debut African exhibition. We then travel from Berlin to Nimes in the south of France, the site of his summer 2018 show. This is the first time he has visited the exhibition space, giving a unique insight into his creative planning process, and exactly what it takes to put on a full scale gallery show.
