Did The Kenyan Election Coverage Get Your Vote?

Over to You

Available for over a year

Rajan puts listeners' questions to the News Desk Editor of the Nairobi bureau, Wanyama Chebusiri, about the recent Kenyan Election coverage. While Agnes from Nairobi was upset by the amount of focus given to the 2007 election, where more than 1,000 people died, Raymond, a Kenyan living in England, felt the coverage was thorough and balanced. Wanyama addresses listeners’ points by talking about the challenges of reporting on an election when tensions are running high. China’s state radio channel is to replace BBC World Service output in Hong Kong. The network will only broadcast overnight for eight hours on medium wave. Listener, Alex, isn’t happy.
