Germany's Merz acknowledges rift between Europe and US

Germany's chancellor has acknowledged a deep rift between Europe and the United States, in the opening speech at the Munich security conference. Outside the conference large numbers of people have gathered in support of an Iranian opposition group. They are calling for the overthrow of the clerical regime by the Iranian people.
