Newsday

Available for 29 days

Pakistani military jets have struck targets inside Afghanistan, bombing parts of Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, as open military conflict surged between the two countries. Pakistan said its air and ground operations targeted Taliban border posts, military headquarters and ammunition depots. The former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has been testifying in closed-door hearings on what she knew about the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Hillary Clinton told a Congressional Committee that she did not recall ever meeting Epstein, and had no information to share about his criminal activities. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton is due to be interviewed on Friday. And US and Iranian officials concluded their latest round of talks. Representatives of the countries were in Geneva this week to discuss the fate of Iran's nuclear programme. Presenters: James Copnall and Krupa Padhy.
