Trump delivers longest State of the Union address in recent history

Newsday

Available for 29 days

President Trump has been delivering a highly polarised, 'America First' State of the Union address to Congress, lavishly praising his own record while lambasting that of the Democrats. Mr Trump said his administration had delivered what he called a 'turnaround for the ages' in its first year. We look at what the President has been saying. Parts of Mexico are beginning to return to normal after deadly violence following the killing of cartel leader El Mencho at the weekend. However, some areas, including Puerto Vallarta, remain under shelter-in-place orders. We look at what religious leaders in the country think of recent events. And we look at how the brutal fighting in Sudan’s civil war has forced the closure of a key hospital on the Sudan–Chad border.
