South Korea to deliver verdict in trial of impeached president

A South Korean court is due to deliver its verdict in the insurrection trial of impeached president Yook Suk Yeol. Hundreds of protesters, both for and against Yoon, have gathered outside the court in Seoul, where the verdict is due shortly. We go live to Seoul. The senior US military commander overseeing forces in Latin America has made a surprise visit to Venezuela for talks with government officials in Caracas. General Francis Donovan and senior Pentagon official Joseph Humire are said to have met with interim president Delcy Rodriguez, and other senior government figures, on Wednesday. The Sudanese cities of Kadugli and Dilling, in the country’s South Kordofan state, have received a United Nations' convoy carrying lifesaving supplies for the first time in three months.
