Ukraine and Russia peace talks to resume

Newsday

Available for 7 days

Ukraine and Russia are to resume peace talks in Abu Dhabi, under the auspices of the US. Yesterday, President Zelensky said Russian air-strikes on the Ukrainian energy network showed Moscow was choosing terror over diplomacy. We get a view from Norway's Foreign Minister. The US president has met his Colombian counterpart Gustavo Petro in Washington. They have seemingly de-escalated tensions in a meeting at the White House. The encounter followed months of mutual insults on social media and threats of military action. Washington had previously accused the Colombian President of not doing enough to combat cocaine production. We speak to somebody from President Petro's party. And we speak to Kenyan athlete Faith Kipyegon who is building a maternity unit in her hometown of Keringet. Presenters: James Copnall and Anne Soy.
