Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger - perhaps the world's most famous diplomat - dies aged 100; he was controversial and consequential. The Israeli military says that a truce between Israel and Hamas is to continue for a seventh day to allow international mediators to negotiate the release of more hostages.
