Speaker McCarthy voted out

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

The US House of Representatives has voted to remove the Republican Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, the first time in history that the chamber has removed its Speaker from office. It follows a motion put forward by Republican rebel Matt Gaetz who had criticised Mr McCarthy for reaching a temporary spending deal with Democrats to avoid a government shutdown. Roger Hearing discusses this and more business news from around the globe with Satoshi Shimoda, Senior Journalist at Nikkei in Tokyo and Kristina Hooper, Chief Global Market Strategist at Invesco, in New York.
