Billions of dollars are pledged to end global food shortage

The World Bank has pledged 30 billion dollars to help tackle world hunger over the next 15 years. Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, US, Jayati Ghosh, gives us her take on whether that amount is enough. Share prices in the United States have seen their biggest one day drop since 2020. The DOW Jones Industrial Average fell more than three and a half percent.
