Elon Musk - the world's richest man - has been in talks to buy social media giant Twitter since April. But the deal, valued at $44 billion, seems to have stalled over his concerns about fake 'bots' that flood the platform with scams and spam messages. Also tonight, US retail sales enjoyed a spike in growth last month. But there are concerns about the effect that will have on already sky-high inflation.
