The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has quit as leader of the Conservative party. It follows a series of ministerial resignations and will lead to the end of Mr Johnson's three year reign as the country's leader at a crucial time for the UK economy. We assess the reasons that have led to this point, get reaction from Europe and ask who will be next in Number 10 Downing Street?
