Liz Truss to be the new UK Prime Minister

The UK foreign secretary, Liz Truss, will officially become the Prime Minister on Tuesday when she meets the Queen. The former Conservative cabinet minister, David Gauke, shares his view. Russia has announced it will not reopen its main gas pipeline to Europe. A visitors tax will be introduced in Venice, in a bid to reduce the number of tourists during the city’s busy periods.
