Tech giants hit by slowing economy

Parent company of Google and YouTube - Alphabet has said sales rose just 6% in the three months to September, to $69bn, as firms cut their advertising budgets. Microsoft also expressed concern demand for its computers and other technology had weakened. Ukrainian authorities have advised refugees not to return back to the country until spring to help ease pressure on the energy system after a wave of Russian attacks. Clothing giant Adidas has cut ties with rapper Kanye West, following anti-Semitic comments made on Twitter. Cutting the partnership means Adidas will make a net loss of £217m in 2022 as a result.
