Sudan: Coup attempt reportedly underway

Reports have been coming in of an apparent coup attempt in Sudan. Unidentified soldiers have surrounded the home of the civilian prime minister and placed him under house arrest. There have been major demonstrations in past weeks in support both of the civilian and military elements of the transitional council which has headed the country since the overthrow of Omar al-Bashir.
