Philippines targets economic recovery

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The Philippines aims for economic recovery after the pandemic ended 21 years of growth. Benjamin Diokno is the governor of the central bank of the Philippines, and explains what role his institution might play towards achieving the goal. Also in the programme, the European Commission has published proposals for a digital Covid vaccine certificate, which will also document coronavirus test results. Mehreen Khan is EU correspondent for the Financial Times, and tells us the European Commission plans to leave it up to member states whether to use the certificate to regulate travel within their jurisdictions. Plus, the abuse of people online, or trolling, is on the rise. The BBC's Marie Keyworth reports on whether cyberspace should be a free speech free-for-all, or regulated to screen out the most offensive individuals. (Picture: Benjamin Diokno.
