US-Taliban deal brokered on Afghanistan

As details emerge of a provisional peace deal between the Afghan Taliban and the United States, there's been a huge explosion in Kabul. Hurricane Dorian has stalled over the main island in the Bahamas, after devastating areas nearby, killing at least five people. The British prime minister, Boris Johnson, is expected to push for a general election next month if MPs back moves to stop the country leaving the European Union without a deal.
