North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said two missiles fired on Thursday were newly designed tactical weapons that sent a "solemn warning" to South Korea over plans to hold military drills with the United States. More than 100 people are feared to have drowned in a shipwreck off the coast of Libya. The tragedy occurred when a wooden boat carrying migrants sank near the town of Al Khoms. 24 prominent scientists have signed an open letter urging governments around the world to catergorise environmental damage as a war crime.
