The governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rossello, has announced that he will stand down following weeks of mass protests. Britain's new prime minister, Boris Johnson will hold his first cabinet meeting today before addressing parliament. President Trump has vetoed an attempt by the US Congress to block more than $8 billion of arms sales to Saudi Arabia and its regional allies.
