Fast-track deportations to bypass US courts

Newsday

Available for over a year

The US government is introducing a new fast-track deportation process that will bypass immigration courts. Under the new rules, any undocumented migrants who can't prove they have been in the US continuously for more than two years can be immediately deported. The Kenyan finance minister, Henry Rotich, is under arrest in connection with an investigation into corruption and abuse of office. People in Hong Kong are still reeling from the violence which erupted on Sunday when dozens of masked men stormed a train station assaulting people returning home after a pro-democracy protest, as well as passers-by, with wooden sticks and metal rods.
