Ethiopia's prime minister is expected to arrive in Sudan today to try to mediate in the conflict between the military and opposition protesters; the British prime minister, Theresa May, will officially step down as the leader of the Conservative Party on Friday, but will remain as prime minister until her successor is chosen; and Mexico has deployed 6,000 members of its National Guard on its border with Guatemala in an attempt to stem the flow of migrants heading to the US.
