Sudan crisis: Doctors say 60 people have been killed

Newsday

Available for over a year

Doctors linked to the opposition in Sudan say 60 people are now known to have died in the last few days in an attempt by the security forces to crush pro-democracy protests. A former armed security officer at a Florida school has been arrested and charged with failing to confront a gunman who killed 17 people last year. A humanitarian organisation says 'the international community is losing its fight against Ebola', as cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo reach over 2,000.
