Cyclone Fani hits north-east India's coastline

A huge storm has made landfall in north-east India, it's one of the most powerful to hit the region in years. Sudan's ruling military council has told Newsday that the armed forces will not accept a civilian majority on an interim power sharing council. Uganda's authorities have ordered over a dozen radio and television stations to suspend staff after accusing them of failing to meet broadcasting standards.
