The first stage of India’s general election has started in 20 states. 900 million people are eligible to vote in the biggest democratic poll with Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking another term. Authorities in Algeria say the country will hold presidential elections on 4th July, following the ousting last week of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
