Brexit delay: EU to hear UK's extension plea

Newsday

Available for over a year

European Union leaders will hold an emergency summit in Brussels later to consider a further postponement to Brexit. The British prime minister, Theresa May, wants more time to try to get a withdrawal agreement approved by parliament. The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, appears on course to stay in power after a closely-fought election. With more than ninety percent of votes counted, his Likud party is tied in the lead with the centrist Blue and White party led by Benny Gantz. The first ever picture of a black hole is to be published today. Taking the image involved eight of the biggest telescopes on the planet all pointing to the same spot in the sky at the same time.
