Hong Kong 'Umbrella' activists found guilty

Nine pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong have been found guilty of public nuisance charges for their role in a civil disobedience movement that called for free elections in the city. Among them are three prominent activists, seen as figureheads of Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement. Israelis head to the polls on Tuesday for a general election in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is fighting for his political survival. Thousands of protesters in Sudan remain camped outside the military headquarters in the capital, Khartoum, for a third night. They are demanding that President Omar al Bashir step down immediately and have urged the military to protect them.
