Mexico's finance minister resigns

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

Carlos Urzua was a key figure in President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's government, which has only been in power for a few months. We speak to Nancy Gonzalez, senior business reporter with the business news website and magazine Mexico Now, who tells us why Mr Urzua left his post so abruptly. Following a hearing in Europe's top court over the transfer of Facebook's data to the US, we catch up with Austrian privacy activist Max Schrems who had previously taken Facebook to court over the so-called US/EU Safe Harbor data-transfer agreement. Jon Bithrey is joined throughout the programme from Philadelphia by Maya van Rossum, an environmentalist, lawyer and author who's also director of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, and business and travel journalist Ajay Awtaney, who's founder editor of the LiveFromALounge travel news website and is in Mumbai.
